Offshore Platform & Rig Security Operations

The Oil & Gas Industry Security Training program is designed to provide security professionals, supervisors, HSE personnel, facility managers, and emergency response teams with the knowledge and practical skills required to protect oil and gas assets, personnel, operations, and critical infrastructure throughout the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. The course addresses the unique security challenges of exploration, production, pipelines, refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, storage terminals, and offshore installations by applying internationally recognized security management principles and industry best practices.

Participants will learn how to identify and assess security threats, conduct security risk assessments, protect critical assets, implement layered physical security systems, manage access control, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, and integrate security technologies with industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA environments. The program also covers insider threats, terrorism, sabotage, theft, piracy, cyber-physical attacks, supply chain security, contractor management, and regulatory compliance relevant to the energy sector.

Special emphasis is placed on emergency preparedness, crisis management, business continuity, incident command, emergency response coordination, and the protection of high-value assets during operational disruptions. Participants will develop practical skills in security planning, vulnerability assessment, incident investigation, emergency drills, and security leadership through case studies, tabletop exercises, and realistic operational scenarios based on onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to design, implement, and manage comprehensive security programs that reduce operational risks, protect personnel and critical infrastructure, strengthen organizational resilience, and support safe, secure, and uninterrupted oil and gas operations in accordance with international industry standards and best practices.
